Publishing changes to update audience and sequence enrollment

Last updated: May 4, 2026

When you make edits to your play (audience or sequence), those changes won't automatically take effect for existing or new contacts. To ensure your modifications are applied and enrollment processes correctly, you must publish your changes.

How to publish changes

After making any edits to your play:

  1. Look for the Publish Changes button at the top right of your screen

  2. Click Publish Changes to update the workflow

What happens when you publish changes

Publishing changes will:

  • Update the workflow with your latest modifications

  • Reinitiate enrollment for contacts based on the new criteria or sequence steps

  • Ensure new contacts are enrolled according to your updated settings

Important: Your changes will not take effect until you publish them. Always remember to click "Publish Changes" after making any modifications to your audiences or sequences.

Re-enrolling contacts who were already processed

Publishing changes only applies to new contacts going forward — contacts who already ran through the play won't re-execute. To re-enroll them, you have two options:

  • Enroll directly into the sequence (recommended if enrichment is already done): Go to Sequences → select the sequence → Enrollments → Add enrollments. This bypasses the play entirely and consumes no enrichment credits.

  • Duplicate the play: Creates a fresh copy that treats all matching contacts as new. If your play includes enrichment or AI research nodes, this will re-run those steps on every contact and can consume significant credits. Only use this if you specifically need fresh enrichment data.
