How to map custom HubSpot fields in Unify
Last updated: March 19, 2026
When setting up field mapping between HubSpot and Unify, you may notice that custom fields created in HubSpot don't automatically appear in Unify's field mapping interface. This is expected behavior, as Unify only displays pre-configured fields that are specifically designed to work with the integration.
Available Unify fields for mapping
Unify provides the following pre-built fields that can be mapped to your HubSpot properties:
Unify Most Recent Play - Tracks the most recent sequence or play executed
Unify Initial Sequence - Records the first sequence a contact was enrolled in
Associated timestamps and status fields - Various date and status tracking fields related to the above
Why custom HubSpot fields don't appear
Custom fields you create in HubSpot (such as "Warmly: Last Pages Viewed") will not automatically become available in Unify's field mapping interface or as columns in audience views. This is because Unify's field mapping interface only shows fields that have been specifically configured to work with the integration. However, custom HubSpot fields that meet the supported field type requirements can still be used to create audiences and lists through condition filters.
How to work with field mapping
To properly set up field mapping between HubSpot and Unify:
Navigate to your Unify field mapping configuration
Look for the available Unify fields listed above in the mapping interface
Map these Unify fields to the appropriate HubSpot properties you want to sync data to
Use existing HubSpot properties or create new ones in HubSpot that correspond to the available Unify fields
For custom HubSpot fields not available in the mapping interface, use them as filter conditions when creating audiences or lists instead. Note that while these fields can be used for filtering, they cannot be displayed as columns in the audience view.
If you need to track additional data points beyond what's available in the standard Unify fields, you have two options:
For filtering and audience creation: Use your custom HubSpot fields directly in audience or list condition filters (as long as they are not multi-select, lead, or campaign field types). These fields won't appear as mappable fields or columns, but can be used to define audience criteria.
For mapped fields and columns: Use the existing Unify fields creatively, or reach out to support to discuss your specific use case.
