How to export participants and enrolled users from campaigns and plays
Last updated: April 29, 2026
You can export lists of participants, enrolled users, and audience members from your campaigns and plays to track participation, manage segments, and maintain data consistency with external platforms like Salesforce.
Exporting from standard audiences
For most audiences, you can export directly:
Navigate to your audience in the platform
Click Export to CSV at the top right of the page
The export will include enrollment status and relevant IDs for integration purposes
Exporting from sequences created through Unify plays
When sequences are created through Unify plays rather than as standalone sequences, you may not have a direct audience to export from. Use this workaround:
Go to the Audience Builder
Create a new audience
Set person-level conditions:
Person→enrolled in→[sequence name]→started anytimeToggle exclusions off at the bottom of the builder
Save the audience
Click Export to CSV at the top right
Exporting only completed sequence enrollments
To export contacts who have completed a sequence (rather than all enrollments):
Go to Audience Builder
Create a new audience with these conditions:
Enrolled in→ select your sequenceMost Recent Sequence Status→Completed(and/orCompleted: Repliedif needed)
Click Export to CSV in the top right
Note: CSV exports for sequences do not include a "Completed Date" column, so you cannot see when a sequence enrollment was completed.
Creating targeted exports with specific criteria
You cannot selectively export contacts from within an existing audience segment. Instead, create new, more granular audience segments using the Audience Builder's advanced filtering capabilities:
Employee count filtering (company size)
Intent level filtering
Specific page view targeting (e.g., pricing page, blog)
Number of page views criteria
Company-specific visitor targeting
Audience segment membership
For example, if you have a large audience of 7,000+ contacts but only want to export contacts from specific companies with certain activity patterns, create a new audience with those exact criteria rather than trying to filter the existing segment.
Best practices for export management
Create separate targeted audiences for different export needs rather than using one broad audience
Avoid using special characters (especially
-or|) in audience names, as these can cause exports to hang or fail. Use only letters, numbers, and spacesCombine multiple criteria in the Audience Builder to create highly specific segments
Use descriptive names for your audiences to easily identify their purpose
Regularly review and update your audience criteria to maintain data accuracy
