What Updates the "Unify Updated At" Field in Salesforce?
Last updated: March 3, 2026
Context
When working with Salesforce integration, users may notice the "Unify Updated At" field and want to understand what activities trigger updates to this timestamp.
Answer
The "Unify Updated At" field in Salesforce is automatically updated whenever Unify makes any modifications to a record in Salesforce. This timestamp gets refreshed during two main types of activities:
When a company record is updated through a Play execution
When a contact is being processed through a Sequence
When a contact is enriched through the Unify Browser Extension (UBE), which automatically syncs back to Salesforce
Note: Contacts enriched via the browser extension are automatically synced to Salesforce even if they haven't been part of any outbound motion. This can update fields like "Latest Lead Source Medium/Channel" in addition to the "Unify Updated At" timestamp.
This field helps track when Unify last interacted with or modified the Salesforce record, making it easier to monitor automation activity and data synchronization between the platforms.
