How do credits work in Unify?
Last updated: June 30, 2026
Credits are the currency behind every Unify prompt and action. When you ask Unify to build lists, enrich contacts, pull signals, or run a workflow, each underlying data fetch and action draws from your balance. Credits are allocated per seat and reset each billing cycle.
What Consumes Credits
Here's how credits are consumed across Unify's features:
Email enrichment averages 1 credit per record (in rare cases up to 10).
Phone enrichment averages 4 credits per record (in rare cases up to 20).
Signals vary by source — from ~1 credit for things like web intent or technographics, up to a higher rate for more complex or niche sources.
Prospecting (finding net-new contacts) uses 2 credits per person found.
LinkedIn Signals enrichment — 2 credits per person (email only), 6 credits per person (email + phone).
Champion Tracking — 1 credit per person tracked.
New Hire Tracking — 5 credits per person tracked.
Lookalike company discovery — 0.5 credits per company found.
AI Agent questions — 0.1 credits per question answered.
Website Visitor Reveal — 0.1 credits per session identified.
Using your own existing contact lists, uploading CSV files, or sending emails does not consume credits.
How credit usage varies across workflows
It depends on what you're asking Unify to do. A simple list-building search is fairly low. Enriching a list with phone and email, or writing a personalized email sequence, is more moderate. Deep agentic workflows that layer in multiple signals, news alerts, and multi-step research can run quite high. The more sources and steps involved, the more credits are used.
Overspending protection
Unify enforces a hard cap. When your seat credits and account pool are both exhausted, credit-consuming actions pause rather than charge. You'll see an in-product prompt to top up or upgrade, and you're back to full access the moment credits are added or your cycle resets. Any automation already in flight finishes its current step before stopping.
Purchasing more credits
On any paid plan you can add credits at any time as a one-time top-up. Top-ups go into a shared pool available to everyone on your team. They don't auto-renew, and unused credits carry over for up to 12 months.
Credits are priced based on the volume purchased, with discounts at higher tiers:
Up to 49K credits: $0.10 per credit
50K–199K credits: $0.09 per credit
200K–499K credits: $0.08 per credit
500K–999K credits: $0.06 per credit
1M+ credits: $0.05 per credit
How is AI usage billed?
AI usage is billed as part of your credit balance. There's no separate AI fee or subscription.
Monitoring and Renewal
You can monitor your credit usage by visiting the Usage Dashboard in your account settings.
You will receive a notification when your credit balance falls below 20% of your total allocation.
Credits reset at contract renewal, giving you a fresh allocation for the new contract period.
External Prospecting Credit Behavior
When using the "Prospect external only" option ("Use Unify Waterfall to Find up-to-date Prospects & Data"), credits are consumed for every prospect regardless of whether the contact already exists in your CRM or HubSpot. This option intentionally bypasses checking existing data sources to prioritize data freshness.
Important consideration: This option is designed for scenarios where data freshness is critical and will result in higher credit consumption. It's most beneficial for teams with outdated CRM data where accuracy is prioritized over credit efficiency.
Website Reveal Credit Consumption
0.1 credits are consumed for each website visitor session that Unify successfully identifies.
The same person visiting your website multiple times will consume 0.1 credits per session, not per unique person.
Website reveal credits are only consumed on pages where your Unify tracking tag is installed and Unify Intent is turned on.
Tips to control Website Reveal spend:
Place the tracking tag on high-intent pages (pricing, product, demo) rather than login or app pages where existing customers frequently visit.
Use audience filters (e.g., company size, industry) to qualify traffic and reduce unnecessary credit consumption.
To temporarily pause Website Reveal, go to Settings → Data → Web & Product Data → Settings and toggle "Unify Reveal" off.
