How do credits work in Unify GTM?
Last updated: April 29, 2026
Context
Unify GTM uses a credit-based system to manage usage of certain features, particularly around prospecting for new contacts. Users need to understand how credits are consumed and what activities require credits.
Answer
Credits in Unify GTM are primarily used when prospecting for new contact information. Here's how the credit system works:
Email enrichment uses 2 credits per person
Phone enrichment uses 4 credits per person
Plays that search for new contacts will consume credits for each prospect attempt
Using your own existing contact list and email addresses does not consume any credits. Similarly, uploading company lists from CSV files does not consume credits—credits are only used for enrichment and prospecting activities.
Credits are priced based on volume purchased, with discounts at higher tiers:
20K–49K credits: $0.10 per credit
50K–199K credits: $0.09 per credit
200K–499K credits: $0.08 per credit
500K–999K credits: $0.06 per credit
1M+ credits: $0.05 per credit
You can monitor your credit usage by visiting the Usage Dashboard in your account settings. This page shows a breakdown of how your credits are being used across different features.
Credit Notifications and Renewal:
You will receive a notification when your credit balance falls below 20% of your total allocation
Credits reset at contract renewal, giving you a fresh allocation for the new contract period
For best practices on managing credit spend, check your usage weekly or bi-weekly to identify any abnormal spikes and ensure healthy monthly usage patterns.

Agent Credit Consumption and External Prospecting Behavior
Agent Credit Usage
Agent runs consume 1 credit per execution, regardless of whether the agent qualifies the prospect or not. This means you'll be charged credits even if the agent determines a prospect doesn't meet your criteria.
External Prospecting Credit Behavior
When using the “Prospect external only” option (“Use Unify Waterfall to Find up-to-date Prospects & Data”), credits are consumed for every prospect regardless of whether the contact already exists in your CRM or HubSpot. This option intentionally bypasses checking existing data sources to prioritize data freshness.
Important consideration: The external prospecting option is designed for scenarios where data freshness is critical and will result in higher credit consumption since it doesn't filter out existing contacts. This option is most beneficial for companies with outdated CRM data where accuracy is prioritized over credit efficiency.
Website Reveal Credit Consumption and Management
Website Reveal Credit Usage
0.1 credits are consumed for each website visitor session that Unify successfully identifies (called "website reveals")
The same person visiting your website multiple times will consume 0.1 credits per session, not per unique person
Website reveal credits are only consumed on pages where your Unify tracking tag is installed and Unify Intent is turned on
Managing Website Reveal Credit Consumption
To control website reveal credit usage, place the Unify tracking tag strategically on high-intent pages (such as pricing, product, or demo pages) rather than on product login or app pages where existing customers frequently visit
Use audience filters (e.g., company size, industry) to qualify traffic and reduce unnecessary credit consumption
To temporarily pause Website Reveal, go to Settings → Data → Web & Product Data → Settings and toggle "Unify Reveal" off
Monitor for unexpected credit spikes that may occur when customers repeatedly visit login pages or other high‑traffic areas where the tracking tag is installed
