How do I get phone numbers for contacts who opened my emails?

Context
When tracking email engagement, you may want to obtain phone numbers for contacts who have opened your emails to enable follow-up calling. This can be accomplished by creating an audience of email openers and enriching their contact information with phone numbers.
Answer
To get phone numbers for contacts who opened your emails:
Create an audience based on email opens
Filter for contacts who opened emails within your desired timeframe (e.g., last 30 days)
When filtering for multiple email campaigns or sequences, use "or" logic to include contacts from all sources in a single audience
Export this list as a CSV using the 'Download CSV' button at the top right
Upload the CSV to create a new audience
Your CSV must include at minimum: first name and email address
During upload, you'll map the CSV fields to the appropriate contact fields in the platform
Enrich the audience with phone numbers
This process uses 4 credits per phone number enrichment
Phone number enrichment may provide multiple contact numbers when available
Phone number enrichment is not retroactive - contacts already in an audience before enrichment was enabled will need to be re-exported and re-imported with enrichment toggled on
Known Limitation: Bulk phone enrichment during upload may silently fail for some contacts even when enrichment is enabled. If you notice contacts without phone numbers after enrichment, you can enrich them individually within the platform, which uses a separate lookup process that typically succeeds.
Access the enriched phone numbers in your audience view
Note: Phone numbers enriched through this process can be viewed in your Unify audience but may not automatically sync to other connected platforms like Salesforce. Manual updates may be required for external systems.
