Unify Dialer: Getting Started
Last updated: July 14, 2026
The Unify Dialer lets you call prospects directly from Unify - no separate dialer, no switching tabs. Every call, outcome, and transcript logs back to the contact record and syncs to your CRM automatically, so you stop copy-pasting numbers and hand-logging notes.
What you can do
Place outbound calls to US and Canada numbers from anywhere a phone number appears in Unify
Show a local number that matches your prospect's location (Local Presence) to lift connect rates
Transcribe calls based on your recording settings
Log an outcome (Connected, Voicemail left, No answer, Meeting booked, Not interested) in one click
See call metrics and transcripts right inside Unify
Sync the call, outcome, recording, and transcript back to Salesforce or HubSpot as an activity
Route prospect callbacks to your own phone with a forwarding number
Use Chat to prep before a call — research, talk tracks, and full scripts on demand
Give managers a dashboard of dialing activity, connect rates, and meetings booked
Setting it up
Admins 'Activate' in Settings → Dialer. This makes calling available to everyone on your team.
Add phone numbers. Admins go to Settings → Dialer → + Add Phone Number to buy and assign numbers. Each rep gets a set of numbers at no charge (how many depends on your plan), with the option to add more.

Make your first call. Click any phone number on a person, task, or sequence step to dial.

Set a forwarding number. Add a number (for example, your mobile) in Settings → Dialer so prospect callbacks reach you.

Your numbers build reputation automatically over the first 1–2 weeks of use, and connect rates improve as they warm up.
Making a call
Start from a call task, a phone-call step in a sequence, or any person record — the phone number is clickable wherever it appears.
Click to dial. The call connects in your browser, and Local Presence automatically shows a number that matches your prospect's location.
Use Unify's account activity, research, and notes to inform the conversation as you talk.
Hang up and log the outcome in one click. The call is written back to your CRM as an activity, with the transcript attached (and a recording, based on your recording settings).
Managers can open the calls dashboard at any time to see dials, connect rate, and meetings booked across the team — no export from a separate tool.
