When using Unify's "Sync to CRM" node in a Play, it creates new contacts in your CRM for all people added to a sequence and updates existing contacts. However, you may want to limit syncing to only those contacts who have engaged with your sequences.

To sync only specific contacts (such as those who have replied to your sequences) to your CRM, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the "Sync to CRM" node from your existing Play that enrolls people in Sequences

  2. Create a new Play specifically for CRM syncing

  3. Set the audience criteria in the new Play to include only people who have been enrolled in a Sequence and replied

  4. Add the "Sync to CRM" node to this new Play

This approach ensures that:

  • Only engaged contacts are created as new contacts in your CRM

  • Existing CRM contacts are only updated when they meet your engagement criteria

  • Your contact database in your CRM remains focused on qualified prospects

Note: The "Sync to CRM" node will both create new contacts and update existing ones based on your configured field mappings (such as "unify written at" and "latest sequence").
