FAQ: Chrome Extension
Last updated: May 1, 2026
Does the Chrome extension enrichment process automatically create a contact in Salesforce (SFDC)?
Yes, the contact is created approximately 15 minutes after the enrichment process completes.
The extension shows a diamond icon next to a contact’s name when an “enrich new profile” action is available. This feature creates a new person record instead of updating an existing one, helping you avoid duplicate contacts.
Do you have to add contacts to a sequence in the Chrome extension, or can you opt to simply add them without additional actions?
You have the flexibility to: 1) enrich the user with either email, phone, or both; or 2) enrich and enroll the contact into a sequence after the enrichment process is complete. Note that LinkedIn URLs are not auto‑enriched—they are pulled from your connected CRM. If the LinkedIn field is empty in your CRM, you can add it there (it will sync to Unify) or manually enrich it using the browser extension.
No, the system does not overwrite existing data by default, although this is a feature under consideration.
What does it mean when contacts are "blocked" after enrichment and enrollment, and how can I fix this?
Contacts become "blocked" when they're missing data required by template variables in your email sequence, or when there are issues with the email thread structure. This commonly happens when:
Template variables are missing required data for contacts
The first email in a threaded sequence was skipped, preventing subsequent reply emails from sending (since replies require the initial thread root to exist)
To resolve blocked enrollments, follow these steps:
Review all template variables across every step in your sequence
Remove or replace any problematic variables that are missing required data
Ensure variables are updated in ALL emails, not just the first one
Check that the first email in threaded sequences was not skipped
Skip all remaining email tasks for the enrollment if the first email in a threaded sequence was skipped
Send one-off emails outside of the sequence as an alternative to reach the contact
To prevent future blocking, consider using generic greetings or implementing fallback snippets in your email templates when working with enriched data that may have incomplete information.
